Region Västernorrland has decided to elevate the first-line mission for children and young people aged 6-17 with mild to moderate mental health issues as a special assignment within Primary Care. The service meets children and young people from all over the region both digitally and physically, and our clinics are centrally located in two towns in the region, Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik. We are now looking for a social worker for the Children and Youth Entrance in Sundsvall. The position is a full-time temporary contract, with a start date to be agreed upon. We highly value teamwork to manage our mission and develop our service together.

Social Worker for the Children and Youth Entrance, Region Västernorrland

• As a social worker with us, you will work in a team alongside psychologists and occupational therapists with the special assignment of first-line psychiatry for children and young people within primary care. The goal is to identify and work towards the development of mental health issues in children and young people in Västernorrland through early and preventive measures.
• At the clinic, we offer lectures, group treatments, family and individual treatments both physically and digitally, which means that you as a social worker will have the opportunity for good variation in your work. We operate from a systems theory perspective where the development of children and young people is an important starting point. Primarily, we focus on short treatment contacts where the immediate family and the wider network are involved.
• In addition to treatment work, you will also provide consultation to partners within the region and municipality who work with and meet mental health issues.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a degree in social work
• Has a valid driver's license (B)
• Has good knowledge of NCS Cross

It is an advantage if you

• Have basic psychotherapy training
• Have previous experience working with patients regarding mental health and with children and young people
